You found my new blog - welcome!

I'm the local councillor for 12 villages in the south of Cambridgeshire - Duxford, Fowlmere, Foxton, Great & Little Chishill, Newton, Heydon, Hinxton, Ickleton, Pampisford, Shepreth, Whittlesford and Thriplow.

This only works if you know your Rodgers and Hammerstein musicals.

Anway, to be serious - the county council has been out and about cutting down the grass and general vegetation at the junctions along the main roads - especially the A10 and the A505 - where otherwise the visibility of what traffic  is coming along the main road is limited making it dangerous venturing out from the side roads.

I've asked people to let me know where there are junctions that haven't been done. The rersponse has been good and sensible and I have passed the junctions to the council to re-sharpen their sickles and scythes and get them done. The warm weather and fair rain has made the grass as high as an elephant's eye this year - as they sing in the opening number of "Oklahoma".
