Thriplow getting ready for Daffodil weekend (and a post mystery)
I was over at Sheralds Croft, Thriplow, yesterday afternoon in the sunshine. It was nice to chat to long established residents and also to the young family that have recently moved in and started to improve the house and garden that used to look very unwelcoming indeed. Local residents will know where I mean!
Everyone was looking forward to Daffodil Weekend, and it is great that Heathfield residents are getting involved too. This year there are gundog trials (I'd always recommend a good lawyer) and the foodie element is growing again, and that is attracting lots of new visitors. At one time it was a few ice cream vans and cake.
We talked about the solar panels that the council put on the roofs a few years back, parking issues in the village and maybe how the road across the green could be made safer.
I had a look at the posts that were installed to keep people from driving onto the grass, and for some reason they have been taken out (and laid neatly on the grass, which isn't quite the purpose). I will ask the council to put them back in.
