A better route for the 7a bus that stops at Heathfield and Whittlesford
We had a good users meeting at Whittlesford the other week - with tea and biscuits - to go through how the 7a bus route might be better configured to make it more attractive to people and so boost numbers and make it more viable. It was good to have the IWM there as they want people to get to the museum by bus from Whittlesford train station. But most of the people there were folks for whom the bus is a lifeline out of the village.
The proposals going to the county council are for the bus to go to the Trumpington park and ride because it has good connections, locally and nationally, and to see if some wrinkles along the way can be ironed out. Whittlesford is working with sawston and other villages about this.
