Thriplow in the spring sunshine - some jobs picked up
Thriplow was emerging from winter torpor to a very Spring-like purposefulness when I went round the other morning. People were out tidying gardens and planting a few hardy flowers, while a very sizeable soakaway was being put in along Middle Street near the shop, which will help reduce any puddling if there is rain before Daffodil Weekend. I was advised of yet another drain that needs sorting out and will talk to the county team at the depot, who carried out the work in November on the green where a drain had fallen in.
I also had a long talk with a lady whose spotless South Cambs house was a joy to behold. We talked about all the farms that she had worked for in the past, and I took note of the problem that we will need to get Mears, the council's repair company, to come and take a look at.
